Athabasca
This is a song I began writing on the way back from Athabasca:
I'm coming from Athabasca
I've got my little black drum in hand
I bring it back from the river house
where it stayed three hundred sixty five days
The drummers drummed, the dancers danced
The piper played in true romance
got me thinkin' of Cypress Hills
where humans have gathered for seven thousand years
not sure of the chorus yet but it may go something like this...
Manitou, could everything be Manitoba?
Father - Creator , Mother - Earth
I'm coming from Athabasca
I've got my little black drum in hand
I bring it back from the river house
where it stayed three hundred sixty five days
The drummers drummed, the dancers danced
The piper played in true romance
got me thinkin' of Cypress Hills
where humans have gathered for seven thousand years
not sure of the chorus yet but it may go something like this...
Manitou, could everything be Manitoba?
Father - Creator , Mother - Earth

You're a beautiful wordsmith, man. On the way home from Athabasca all I'm ever thinking about is how fast I can back to Edwinton.
