with the microscpoe or telescope or any other kind of scope that
we might learn to build for ourselves so we can feel in control

Paul,
Right on bro.
The same old stories are nothing but the same old stories. In the new world, we can tell much better stories.
The old stories don't seem to address the questions I'm asking. And more than that, I think it is more in line with the sages and prophets of old to explore the question and not just accept the same old answers. Thanks.
